They had all the Persona 4 volumes!

Had to go to USC to settle some financial aid problems and to walk around the campus to get to know it better. Orientation never really gives the student enough insight of the campus anyway. Tried to figure out the shuttle services and viola! Free ride to Union Station! Can’t wait to use it when school starts in August. Even though I was suppose to go straight home, I couldn’t help but take a detour and go on the Dash to go to Little Tokyo. I’ve been dying to get my hands on volumes 2-3 of the Persona 4 series since those are the only ones I can’t find. Luckily Kino carried all 4 volumes and I got 2 and 3 (hidden inside their secret drawers). Got the new Kuroshitsuji for a friend as well and some snacks that were on sale at the Marukai down below.

All my tickets~

Aaand with that, AX 2011 has come to a close! I felt like I wasn’t able to do much this year because I was on AX staff, but I was completely wrong! I’m looking back at all the pictures I took and all the events I went to and I feel very fulfilled. Last year I went to every panel and every single autograph signing but this year I only went to certain guests and certain panels due to my hectic schedule. Yet, I was able to meet more people (in and out of staff) and participate in more concerts than I did in any other year! I went to the Masquerade, Maon Kurosaki concert (balcony VIP seats), Kalafina concert (balcony VIP seats), Mikunopolis (front row seats), and even the last minute Meet and Greet with the AX GoHs! It was mainly due to the fact that my registration manager was awesome and gave me these tickets. <3 Actually, I only got VIP tickets to the Kalafina concert but I ended up getting tickets to basically all the events I wanted to go to due to “circumstances” that I’ll talk about later.

It’s that time of year again! I’m actually staffing for AX this year and I can’t wait! Unfortunately, I have to say that the badges aren’t very pretty this year. In fact it’s very plain.

There’s quite a lot of stuff to do this year for all four days but what I recommend most if you’re a figurine collector is to go to Danny Choo’s panel! He’s definitely giving away more stuff this year and he’s bringing GSC’s president along with him! I’ll do my best to update, however since my shuttle schedule is very confusing, I doubt I’ll make it back before 12 am each night. Attend the Miku concert or the Kalafina concert if you have either ticket! And if you don’t, go line up on Day 0 and see if they have anymore! They always do no matter what.

My cosplay plans for this year’s AX is Sayaka (Madoka), Maid!HK (Hetalia Christmas Strips), and Secret Police Miku. See you all there!

What’s it like to be a child of Satan?

Wow, I just realized how long it’s been since I’ve had a good laugh. Like a genuine, REAL laugh. After Panty and Stocking, every other anime seemed less than satisfactory but I was just rolling around when I saw Ao no Exorcist. There’s certain scenes where I can really relate to Rin, especially when his tubby red headed boss was lecturing him on his mistakes. Definitely one of the spring shows I would definitely recommend watching.

I just caught up with the series today (balancing my manga with school work is almost impossible nowadays) and I noticed that someone on Billwang uploaded the camera pics of the latest chapter! Less than my usual haul but I still had lots of fun.

Paid another random visit to Little Tokyo this weekend to visit the local Cherry Blossom Festival. Unfortunately this time it was cancelled due to “circumstances and funding”. Oh well, there’s always the one in Monterey Park on the 16th and 17th! But there were a couple of festivities going on today and tomorrow! The Sanrio store was hosting a small game corner where you can win these little mystery prizes (mostly stickers and pencils and stamps) all of which were the same in value no matter what place you got. There was the fishing game, the wheel, and a fishing game. Also, if you bought any item from inside the store, you can get a free paper hat decoration of your favorite Sanrio character (excluding My Melody). I got Badtz Maru because he’s my favorite.

So this weekend was the Pokemon Black and White event at the Santa Anita mall and thanks to a bunch of advertising and nagging, I managed to get a lot of my friends to storm the mall and participate in the stamp collecting game.

Temporarily back from my hiatus to review this little candy toy. I went to Little Tokyo last week with friends to celebrate the end of finals and I kind of splurged on anything that caught my eye. And while I was waiting in line at Marukai, I saw a mini Marine Heart Perfume and decided to get it because she’s my favorite character and I was binging on Mahou Shoujo anime at the time.
