Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver

POKEMON SOULU SILUVERU GETTO

I woke up a little earlier to get my figurines from GameStop. They didn’t have a lot, only 20 of each, though I’m sure they’re hiding some in the back. I didn’t feel like getting the guide since I’ve seen most of the content. The figures themselves smelled like a  bunch of spray paint, and from a distance, Lugia looked better. But a closer look shows that the paint job was poorly done for Lugia, and Ho-oh was the one that looked significantly better. Lugia’s face looked really retarded due to the bad paint job. Umineko Ep 4 Chapter 6 RAW

Golden Witch is Not Relevant

I love how Ange bounds and gags Amakusa in the opening panels and completely blocks Beatrice from making any comments. This chapter mainly focuses on the tea party with Maria and Beatrice, where they give Sakutarou a human form. Beatrice is given a little more personality and flair, a little more than in the VN, in which she and her grabby hands tease Sakutarou. Souichiro’s art is amazing because she’s able to change the character designs to look cute/scary/serious. Sakutarou looks downright adorable in his doll form but even moreso in his human form. There are some small differences from the VN but they’re very minor. Like how Maria imagines a giant whale and it invades the Witch World. There are also some flashbacks of when Ange denied Sakutarou and the stakes. I was hoping that they would either skip that part or do it this week, but I guess they’re probably going to spend 2 chapters on the stakes before Ange summons Mammon. Here’s the link if you want to read the chapter.

Gumako PVC

Not only is there a Gumako nendoroid running about, but there’s also a Gumako PVC. For those of you who don’t know who Gumako is, she’s one the mascots for Good Smile Company.

Like the nendoroid, she’s probably just for promotional purposes only… but how many of you besides me wouldn’t mind having her on your desk?

EDIT: According to Tsuki-Board she’s a limited/exclusive garage kit that was sold at Winter Wonder Fest 2010

Apparently they’re making a 1/8 scale version of Mugi. I believe the manufacturer is ALTER (?) but I need confirmation on this. More pictures under the cut.

恭喜發財! 紅包拿來! (gōng xǐ fà cái hóngbāo ná lái) Year of the Tiger 2010

HK image by ruca @ pixiv

Just kidding about the title. (It pretty much means Happy Chinese New Year Now Gimme Red Envelopes) What I meant was 新年快乐(樂) [xīnniánkuàilè]! Hopefully everyone has finished cleaning their house, bought red envelopes and started stuffing it with money. :D Because I haven’t finished cleaning my room yet and I haven’t finished vacuuming. For people living on the West Coast, Chinese New Year isn’t until tomorrow so we’ve got lots of time to clean up and get ready for tomorrow. Chinese New Year starts tomorrow and will last for 15 days, its too bad most overlap with schooldays. OTL If you don’t want to wait till tomorrow, its ok! You can start early, its called 拜早年!

But anyways, it’s the Year of the Tiger or 老虎 (lǎohǔ) so anyone born in 1914, 1926, 1938, 1950, 1962, 1974, 1986, 1998, or even this year this is your year! :D And according to Year of the Tiger.net:

The Tiger is the third sign in the Chinese Zodiac cycle, and it is a sign of bravery. This courageous and fiery fighter is admired by the ancient Chinese as the sign that keeps away the three main tragedies of a household. Anyone that is born in the Year of the Tiger is usually straightforward and outgoing by nature. They will never give up no matter how aggravated they may become. But, they are also full of suspicion and at times will take hasty action. Never lose sight of the fact that Tigers are smart and instinctive.
